If your hat is stained, a leather dressing can be applied to the outside of the hat. The leather dressing will darken the hat, mask the stain, and make the hat more waterproof. If you're just removing a small mark on the hat, sometimes rubbing the area firmly with your thumb can erase the mark. Also, you can try chalk that is a similar color to the hat. This can soak up an oil mark. Afterwards, rub the chalk off the hat.
I am partial to BC Hats products since I got my first of two leather Stockman (oily and suede) about 10 years ago. I bought this one with the same expectation of quality and fit I have been accustomed with my other hats. I will definitely love this new one during summer at the beach. Excellent material quality and attention to details.
I absolutely love this hat. Exactly what I was wanting. I will definitely be buying more Conner Hats.
This hat has been used several times already in South Texas heat, it’s been wet with water and sweat and shaped and formed perfect to my head. I would recommend and definitely buy another!
Bought my first BC hat in 1988 and haven't looked back. Have three including a trial buffalo hat which has held it's shape really well. In pouring rain the staunchest leather hats shrink - and don't be tempted to dry them out on a stove or that will change it down a size or three, as I found. As someone who daily drove a Landrover with no roof, whatever the weather, I can say with certainty that the BC hat it good for 60-65 mph all day without blowing off or folding down in front of your eyes. What else would you want from a hat? Pictured is number 2 but the sweat band has pretty much died and is pretty scratchy. Great family company - great Aussie hats!
I already have a Backpack Traveler hat, but wanted something a bit stiffer with a brim that would retain its shape. The Stockman did that. It feels comfortable and plan to wear it most days when I go to work. The brim is a little bigger than I imagined, but all the more to keep the texas sun off my head!
