Straw hats can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic to our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
Many of our straw hats come with a wire in the brim so you can shape the hat to match your style. With a little practice you can reshape your hat brim easily. Western styles are generally worn with the brim turned up on the sides and Australian style hats look great with a dip in the front and the back.
The hat arrived promptly. My husband is very pleased with it, and appreciated (although didn't need) the cardboard band inside that would have let him adjust the size. He looks very jaunty in it!
Straw hats are civilized and life saving.
This straw hat is almost perfect in style,
weave, protection and usefulness. The
prices that Connor charges are totally
reasonable. A great company to buy from too.
I love this hat. The fit is perfect, and true to the size of another gambler style hat I have. And the customer service was exceptional. The first hat I got was a little out of alignment, but they shipped me another one really quickly, and I'm pleased as punch with it. It's a great warm weather hat- more casual, so it works well with casual clothes. I feel like a million bucks when I sit in the sun with it on. I look forward to wearing it for a really long time.
