This hat is a third of the price of its name brand counterpart and offers details that refine the look of a timeless classic. Proportions either make or break a hat, and The Axe delivers an understated look that won't beg for attention but could still command the room. The crown height is modest and balanced by the width of the ribbon around it. The brim stretches a little wider than typical modern fedoras, but also lends itself as a counter-balance for the height of the crown. It is also worth mentioning the crown tapers up ever so nicely towards the rear. Proportional is this hat's attitude, and in a crowd, this hat won't go unnoticed!
Unfortunately the gray color is much lighter in comparison to its website depiction. Also the "crushable" nature of the hat feels like it requires to be handled tenderly or it will be misshapen. A spot along one of its creases must have lost its rigidity in transit, and now it depresses easily to a light touch.
Despite those two detractors, this is still a stylish alternative to one that's three times its price. Great company. Definitely a great looking hat and worth getting the other colors in!

The hat was sold out for awhile. So I purchased the hat from a private retailer. I was really pleased with said retailer. The hat itself is awesome. It fits like a glove. And I get complements every time I wear it. I will definitely get another. This time I'll get it from Conner directly. And thanks for adding the other color's.
