My husband loves his hat. He uses it for fishing and it protects his neck and ears from the sun. I borrowed his hat for a photo shoot without his permission. He wasn’t too upset when he saw the photo though.
Runs a little large to size. Had I read another reviewer on this same hat that reported this same minor issue in my size 71/4 I would have ordered the medium. At present the color I want is not available so I will contact customer service and await their reply, but in the meantime, what a great hat. It looks exactly as shown on the website.

It’s October in Los Angeles and all I wanted was a warm toned leather cowboy hat, but this one looks and feels perfect! There’s a sturdiness to it that actually adds to its comfort. I love the strong adjustable rim and rugged look. Simply put, Maverick surpassed all of my expectations! This was my first Connor hat and now I have three (a 4th is on the way). Mostly, I was drawn to the texture of the raffia. I live in downtown Los Angeles and one might not think such a cowboy hat would be a good choice in such an urban environment, but boy the praise it receives! This hat is fabulous! I have 3 Connor hats and this is the one that my wife insists I wear when we go out. Soft and classy! Love the shapeable brim and braided band. I love this hat! It’s my 3rd Connor and I finally got it right with both style and size. I have a giant head, and hats just haven't ever been a part of my look. On a whim I thought I'd give Connor a try. Best damn hat I've ever had. Looks great, fits great. Can't go anywhere without someone complimenting it. Will definitely have my business in the future!
Worked great in the rain hiking. Very stylish and fit into my backpack for traveling too. Not crushable but good size for slipping in a bag.
