Bill Conner introduced his son Will to the art of hat making, instilling a legacy of tradition, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality. Most importantly, he emphasized the importance of responsible hat production. This lifelong dedication to excellence combines timeless techniques with a personal touch. Each hat, crafted from organic cotton, luxurious wool, hand-braided raffia and more, showcases decades of expertise and family heritage. Grounded in history, designed for contemporary style, and built to last a lifetime.
Bought my original one years ago when my dermatologist recommended a wide brim hat vs. baseball caps. Immediately became my go-to hat. It’s ridiculously comfortable and easily cleaned with soap and water in the kitchen sink after sweaty yard work. I wear it everywhere…beach, pool, boating, sporting events, yard work, vacations, etc. It started to show its age after many years of use so I bought a second one for going out in public and relegated the original to yard work. And, it keeps my dermatologist happy when he doesn’t find as many points of concern on my head, face, or ears. Well worth the investment.
Awesome hat even worked w me to get me in the right size, thanks
Fits very comfortably and its a beautiful hat. Strong material in high quality. It keeps what Connors promises because my hat has made its first trip from Utah USA to Värmland Sweden and it is in great shape. Now it will hang out with me in the camper on new adventures. Northern Front Oilskin hat is my new favorite hat. Are you thinking about buying one? Buy it.
Very cute hat for the pool and beach. The fit was perfect.
I have waited 4 years before reviewing this hat that I have been using in the heat and sun of Rio de Janeiro. It looks like new, it’s excellent and I fully recommend it.
I bought this hat specifically for a plains game hunting trip in the bushveld near Thabazimbi, South Africa, and I can say without exaggeration that it became one of the most important pieces of gear I brought with me.
Out there, the sun is relentless and the terrain does not forgive carelessness. This hat turned out to be far more than just sun protection. The sturdy brim shielded my face and eyes from the harsh African sun hour after hour, but what surprised me most was how well it handled the bush itself. Anyone who has walked through the thorny vegetation of the bushveld knows how unforgiving those branches can be. The hat’s firm yet comfortable structure repeatedly protected my head, skin, and eyes from the punishing thorns that would otherwise have scratched and snagged at every step.
The material deserves special praise. The waterproof cotton feels rugged and dependable while still remaining comfortable enough to wear all day in the heat. It has that rare balance of toughness and comfort that you only truly appreciate after spending long days outdoors.
Another feature that proved invaluable was the leather chin cord. It’s not just there for appearance—although it certainly adds a classic, graceful look—it provides real security when conditions get rough. Riding on the hunting jeep through wind and sudden rainstorms, when the rain is slapping your face and the vehicle is moving fast, that leather cord keeps the hat exactly where it should be. It never once felt flimsy or unreliable; instead, it gave the reassuring sense that the hat was firmly part of your gear, not something you had to constantly worry about losing.
By the end of the trip, this hat felt less like an accessory and more like a trusted companion in the field. If you’re heading into serious sun, thick brush, or rugged country, this is not just a good hat—it’s an essential one.
I love the fit for my big noggin, and the fact that this Conner Hat will cover and cool at the same time. Nice color, too!
Very well made and look very nice i like the dark color good job thank you
I just got my new hat in the mail and I love it. It's really lightweight and comfortable. I look forward to wearing it a lot!
Bought a Stetson Roxbury ten years ago. Most similar hat I've found besides being a bit better for. It can expect to be well worn
I want to say that I made a bad review on this company and their warranty....
I claim in the review that they would not cover the warranty on my hat. Their warranty clearly stated hats purchased through them directly. I believed i had purchased the hat in question from them turns out i did not. So I'm want to just retract that statement and let everyone know this is completely my fault not their's in any way. I apologize to this company and want everyone to know that the quality of their hat was never in question. I will be purchasing hats from them always because like I said, the quality was never in question. Once again I apologize. So you know they did not make me say this, or even ask me to do so. I was wrong. Buy their hats, you won't be disappointed. I hope they understand and except my apologies
