    How to Choose a Men's Hat

    Start with the brim. A wider brim shades more of your face, ears and neck. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends a brim of at least three inches around the circumference for meaningful sun coverage (Skin Cancer Foundation). Narrower brims, like a fedora or newsboy, trade some coverage for a dressier line.
