Care Instructions

Using a lint brush or the adhesive side of tape will remove dust and dirt on wool hats. If your wool hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.

Warm greetings. First, I was sad to learn of the "Flinders Outback Wool Hat" being discontinued. I love the hat and have continually received numerous positive comments. I would have continued to purchase them. What was most surprising -- actually, I was amazed -- was to see the "curious" new hat that was added to your collection. Also, the hat I received this time was not carefully produced. The stitching on the hat was poorly done with "fraying" at several intervals. The previous two hats were fine. Obviously, I would not return the hat as you do not have a replacement. Bottom line: "disappointed".

What I can also suggest is another hat, the Jackaroo which is similar in style and price to the Flinders but with a different hat band. This hat is amazing. I ordered a few from different companies to try on and this one was the winner for sure. I got the Putty color which is the perfect light-mid tone brown which goes awesome with my light hair. Thick, warm, and does a great job blocking the wind. Definitely recommend!

Awesome hat!

I bought the putty color and love it. I plan to by the brown soon. I like it because of the flatter brim. I don't care for most outback-style hats because the brims usually curl up on the sides, cowboy style. Not only does that lessen sun protection, but I want to avoid the 'yee-hah!' look. :) Seems very sturdy and crush-able. Somewhat heavy and thick, so probably not a good hot weather hat. If it had pull down ear-flaps like my Tilley Montana, it would be the perfect winter hat.
