Using a lint brush or the adhesive side of tape will remove dust and dirt on wool hats. If your wool hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
I love my new hat I don’t usually look good in hats but it’s one I love taking it to Alaska with me

I own two Norcal Open Road hats and will buy more if/when additional colors are offered. They are beautifully made, comfortable, durable, and good looking. They are perfect for a hike and beautiful for the evening. The quality is just as good - if not better - than hats I have paid 4 times a much for. The brim in the perfect size for shielding the sun and rain without being obtrusive. Love them, thank you Conner Hats!!
The NorCal and the Bird and Feather are two of my favorite hats! Thank you for your kind review!
great hat. I wear while winter hiking -- much better than the synthetic Tilley that makes my head sweat. Perfect brim to mostly shade my face so I hardly have to wear sunglasses. love it. oh, and did I mention stylish? Also, I checked to be sure that Conner's "handmade in china" wool hats are not made by enslaved people, which is a concern about anything made in Asia, especially right now in China. Conner responded very positively to my query about this.
It's one of my favorite hats!

I’m an avid hiker and hike leader. This is my first Conner hat and it’s my favorite for all my cold-weather hiking and even backpacking in the mountains. I have owned this hat 1 1/2 years now and it still looks great. I have worn this hat to traverse tall mountain peaks and the backcountry. I get so many compliments from this hat. It is high quality wool material, sturdy, waterproof and super comfortable. It keeps my head warm on chilly weather in the mountains. Great feature is the chin strap, which kept my hat on my head from sudden wind gusts. The brim is also wide enough for sun protection. Since this hat, I now own 4 other Conner hats. Thank you Conner Hats for adding a bit of “style” in all my outdoor adventures.
The NorCal as well as the Bird and Feather are two of my favorite hats! Glad they're giving you all they are worth.
BTW, if you want to maintain the waterproofing, might I suggest using NikWax: https://connerhats.com/products/nikwax-fabric-leather-waterproofing-spray
Here's a video on how to apply it: https://youtu.be/mcwf6ZFhk-w
Enjoy, stay sun safe and remember:
