The Bounty Hunter hat is made with water Resistant cotton/poly blend and has a distressed look like leather. Features a shapeable brim so you can create your own style and a chin cord for windy days.
What is weathered cotton? It's a mixture of cotton and polyester that gives the hat a leather-like look and feel, as well as water resistant capabilities.
It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
This is my new favorite hat, absolutely love it !! Looking forward to the next one.

I am very pleased with the construction of the hat. I wore it in a pretty heavy Pacific Northwest rainstorm the day I got it. I also read the care instructions and hang tag. I noticed some irritating discrepancies in the description of this hat though. Per the booklet that was included in the pocket of the hat, all Conner hats have a UPF rating on the hang tag. To additionally quote, "If there is no rating on the tag then that means we feel the brim is either too small to give adequate protection from the sun or there is some kind of mesh allowing ultra violet rays through. Be wary of other companies putting UPF 50+ protection ratings on hats with mesh or holes in the crown or brim."
This hat has no UPF rating on the hang tag, and has holes in the crown and brim. So it should probably not be listed on the description as having a UPF 50+ rating by their own definition.
The hat looks great, is packaged in a way that it doesn't get deformed, and is probably the last boonie style hat I will ever need. I gave it a good layer of mink oil after it dried out from the previous day's rain and it soaked in very well. It's a fantastic hat and I would recommend it to a friend, but you can't be listing ratings that your company then claims hats with the same features shouldn't have. Cheers from the cold frozen North.
Edit: Tay to tag
Firstly, thank you for purchasing the hat from us and taking the time to write a review. Regarding the hang tag, I can confidently say that you'll be able to find the rating on it in orange. It is located under the picture of the gentleman wearing the hat. The material was tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and thus given the rating of UPF50+. Also, when we say holes or mesh we mean large spaces or any mesh, not eyelet holes which don't allow enough sun in to be concerned about. Cheers from sunny one day, raining the next Florida!
Like this hat, nice style and color, It runs big in size. The small and medium are not much different in size.
Glad we could be of service. Enjoy and stay sun safe!
I wore this hat for a two-week section hike of the Colorado Trail, and it was great for keeping the sun, rain, and even pea-sized hail out of my face. Also, it looks awesome. Absolutely would buy another one of these if I lost it.
Glad it stood up to the test Samantha! May there be many more adventures with your hat. Enjoy and stay sun safe!
I received this as a Father's Day gift and I cannot be more happy with it. I do a bit of kayaking and needed more protection from the sun. I've had other full brimmed hats that simply were uncomfortable. This hat feels amazing to wear (and I look pretty good in it, if I say so myself ;)). Plus, it's great to know that Conner are both environmentally and humanely conscious.
Thank you for your kind review. We especially especially appreciate you noticing our environmental efforts :)
