Kangaroo Crossing Buffalo Hide Hat

This hat is awesome and overall gets a thumbs up! I'll be using this hat as my new full time hiking, exploring, and adventure hat. I'll add several pics here so you can see how it looks. The leather is really soft, and the hat is very lightweight. The color of it is not as brown as the pictures here, but instead is closer to being black. The hat does have its imperfections, such as being a bit crooked, not perfectly evenly circular, etc, but that adds character and shows that it was handmade. The stitching seems well done, and I picture this hat lasting a very long time. I give the hat itself 5 stars. I am dropping the review overall a star simply due to speed in which i received the hat. I got the hat in 10 days, 4 of which were spent without them even making a shipping label for it, and im generally used to companies (especially smaller family ones that care) shipping the products out same day or next day of order, not almost a full work week after the fact. Beyond their speed and efficiency though, and simply looking at the product itself, the hat is great, provided you understand that this is not a perfect machine built product and is handmade. You will get the only one in the world exactly like yours, and I personally like that thought. First of all, my size was out of stock for months. After wearing the hat everyday I started noticing things that I should have seen right out of the box. The band is not on straight, the crown is lop sided a bit and the back of the hat where the Sean is, is not centered.
I wish it had a little wider brim.
Still a nice hat just wish it was made correctly.

My grandson kept wearing his Papa ‘s hat. He loved it, so he picked out the hat he wanted for his high school graduation. He wears it everywhere and it looks great on him

I just received my Kangaroo Crossing Buffalo Hide Hat and couldn't be more pleased. I am a bald guy who wears hats 365 days a year while walking my dogs, driving and doing anything outdoors. I've always worn canvas safari type hats. I stumbled across Conner Hats being recommended on reddit and was thrilled to see leather hats.

First, the hat looks fantastic. Second, I was hoping it would be a bit warmer so I can wear it during colder months. Third, it's a bit "dressier looking" than my other hats. Even though it is leather, I expect I can wear it most of the year here in Raleigh NC except for the hottest summer days.

Most of all, I think it looks cool (see for yourself in my pics - at least I think I look cool).

This is my first Conner hat but definitely not my last. I've got my eye on the Leather Nickel Hat, the High Sierra and possibly one of the cotton hats down the road.

I have a big head which measures 22 5/8 inches. My other hats (different brand) are size 7 5/8. Based on the circumference of my head, I purchased size L. It's just a smidge snug so I've been stretching it over my knee and will wear it inside for a day or two to see if that works. If not, I'll exchange it for an XL. (Update: I exchanged it via ReDo for an XL because it was still too tight after stretching).

Lastly, my order didn't ship immediately so I emailed customer service after a couple of days and was pleasantly surprised to get an email back within a few hours from Will himself explaining there was a backlog at the warehouse. I like that I'm buying from a small business staffed by real people (vs. a corporate behemoth).

My hat shipped the next day and arrived two days earlier than the tracker had originally estimated.

This is my first Conner Hat purchased! I've had this hat for 5+ years! It's lightweight, low crown and rugged look is what first got my attention from this company! It's survived the abuse that I have put it through, over the years, and it still looks great! The wear, comfort and quality, of this hat, is the reason that I have bought two other hats from Conner Hats! When it comes to buying hats, Conner Hats is and always will be my go to! This is definitely a hat every person should have!
