HOW TO FIND YOUR CORRECT HAT SIZE

Even the most accurate measurement of your head (which we will teach you here) doesn’t always mean the hat you receive will be a perfect fit. There are many factors that can get in the way of receiving the perfect fit on the first try. One is the use of natural materials. Sometimes leather or certain straw hats for example can be slightly thicker or thinner with each batch of material, even when sewing a hat the technician can use a little bit less or more pressure and the size will be slightly affected. So hat sizing isn’t an exact science but an accurate measurement of your head is a good place to start. That along with working with a hat brand that cares about you getting the perfect hat for you. WE PROVIDE FREE SIZE INSERTS IN EVERY ORDER JUST INCASE YOU NEED THEM.

WE DO WHAT IT TAKES TO FIND YOU THE PERFECT FIT!

LETS GET STARTED ON YOUR HAT SIZE

Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (not elasticized or stretchy).
Place the tape measure or string on your forehead and measure the circumference about 1/2 inch or 1.5cm above your ears, about where your hat would sit.

If you have another hat that shows the size, you can use that information.
Check the length of the tape measure or string to determine your size. (if using a string, hold it up against a ruler)
Use the size charts on the product pages to find your perfect fit. For example, if your measurement comes to 22 inches or 56cm, then you would choose a size Medium hat.
Make sure you measure your head multiple times and get 2 measurements that are the same to be 100% sure.

*If you fall in between sizes, choose the next biggest size. We will send two free size inserts with every hat ordered, just incase your hat needs a slight reduction. If you need more than 2 please reach out we can send you more.

Cruelty-Free Wool Hat

"It's taken me a while to venture into hat terrain. I pondered the trilby, but this and two other Conner hats I purchased (brown Rockaway Beach Wool Hat and a plum 1970s Australian Wool Floppy Hat) eventually won out given their "cruelty-free" wool, wider-brim (rain protection that frees me from toting an umbrella), style, and colors. Each hat features a discreet built-in hat tightening ribbon that helps me secure each hat firmly on my head; I can even loosen it if I want to rock a thin scarf or hat underneath just because. As the rain approaches, I'm glad to have these hats! I also appreciate Conner Handmade Hats' rather discreet branding. (Oh yeah, when I was trying on my hats with coats, I realized that I could cinch a built-in coat hood underneath my hat and it didn't look all that bad. In fact, it was kinda cool and funky.)"

My First Conner Hat!

"I live in the Pacific Northwest where we get a lot of rain. I wanted a decent hat that would allow the rain to fall to the ground without getting my face wet. Hoods and baseball hats didn’t work so I started looking for a quality hat that would last me forever and perform as promised. My Conner Hat is functional and well made.
