    It depends on how you wear it and look after it. A genuine leather hat usually lasts 10 to 20 years, and 20 to 30 years with good care. Keep it out of soaking rain, let it dry naturally if it gets wet, and store it where it can hold its shape.

    Leather handles light rain, but it should not be soaked. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally, away from a heater, and reshape it while it dries.
