HOW TO FIND YOUR CORRECT HAT SIZE

Even the most accurate measurement of your head (which we will teach you here) doesn’t always mean the hat you receive will be a perfect fit. There are many factors that can get in the way of receiving the perfect fit on the first try. One is the use of natural materials. Sometimes leather or certain straw hats for example can be slightly thicker or thinner with each batch of material, even when sewing a hat the technician can use a little bit less or more pressure and the size will be slightly affected. So hat sizing isn’t an exact science but an accurate measurement of your head is a good place to start. That along with working with a hat brand that cares about you getting the perfect hat for you. WE PROVIDE FREE SIZE INSERTS IN EVERY ORDER JUST INCASE YOU NEED THEM.

WE DO WHAT IT TAKES TO FIND YOU THE PERFECT FIT!

LETS GET STARTED ON YOUR HAT SIZE

Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (not elasticized or stretchy).
Place the tape measure or string on your forehead and measure the circumference about 1/2 inch or 1.5cm above your ears, about where your hat would sit.

If you have another hat that shows the size, you can use that information.
Check the length of the tape measure or string to determine your size. (if using a string, hold it up against a ruler)
Use the size charts on the product pages to find your perfect fit. For example, if your measurement comes to 22 inches or 56cm, then you would choose a size Medium hat.
Make sure you measure your head multiple times and get 2 measurements that are the same to be 100% sure.

*If you fall in between sizes, choose the next biggest size. We will send two free size inserts with every hat ordered, just incase your hat needs a slight reduction. If you need more than 2 please reach out we can send you more.

See the size charts above. Your hat is either an individual size like Small or Medium or Large etc. or uses a stretch band that covers 2 sizes like Small/Medium and Large/X-Large. Each size can cover a slight range but that is OK, choose the size in your range.

These adhesive strips can be placed on the inside of your hat to slightly reduce the hat's size.

Place one between the hat material and the inner band by folding the inner band down, at the front where your forehead touches the hat, then fold the inner band back up to hide the insert, then try on the hat to test size. If you need to further reduce the size then add the other strip to the back of the hat the same way.

One trick to not have to purchase these size strips is to cut a full size paper towel in half then fold it up and place in the same space. Video coming soon on this..

An amazing match!

"I recently received your hat for my niece's son. I had originally wanted a smaller size of the hat we bought for his dad, but it was unavailable at the time. Happily, I was told that there was a similar hat that had a slightly smaller brim, which would be suitable for a young man. Since it didn't have a chin strap, they were nice enough to suggest that they send a strap for it, to utilize the side holes, since none were in the brim. This hat is very nice looking as well, and looks like a match to the larger hat. He is going to love this hat, especially I think, because it's just like his dad's! Oh, the addition of the sizing strips gives me comfort that the fit will end up perfect one way or the other. Thank you for the terrific customer service."

Helped hat fit secure

"So I seem to have a head that is too small for "small" and too big for "med". The strips work great for making sure the hat fits secure & does not get blown off. One thing, the white tape was a challenge to remove before applying to the inside of the hat, but my husband finally got it off and all was good to go! Helped a lot."

"Ordered both the Indy and Paperboy,the Indy was a tad large, ask Conner for two pair of sizing strips. I put one pair of them in and now hat fits great. I wore it all day today without incident. Now both hats fit and look great.Both hats have character, and are unlike anything I have seen, that and the price is what sold me. The customer service just capped it off.
