Straw hats can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic to our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
Many of our straw hats come with a wire in the brim so you can shape the hat to match your style. With a little practice you can reshape your hat brim easily. Western styles are generally worn with the brim turned up on the sides and Australian style hats look great with a dip in the front and the back.
I love this style of hat. It looks super cute on. I would say I have a small-ish head. I’m 5’0 and I don’t have super thick hair. It fits perfectly.
Glad you found a hat that fit perfectly for you! If you are on social media, tag us in when you post a pic of you in the hat. We love seeing our customers enjoying their hats in life's adventures.
When I received the hat initially I thought it looked too big for me. But for summertime it's perfect. The more I wear it the better I am liking it. It's very well made and the liner around the inside makes it really comfortable, not scratchy or pokey. I like it that the brim is adjustable to any style I want because of the hidden wire all around.
All in all it's a great hat. I ordered another Conner hat with not quite as wide a brim so now I will have both! Two great hats!
