The Merrik Newsboy cap is made from a water resistant weathered cotton. It starts to look better with age like leather.
What is weathered cotton? It's a mixture of cotton and polyester that gives the hat a leather-like look and feel, as well as water resistant capabilities.
It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
I have two other Conner hats and all of the hats are very high quality made hats that are lightweight and easy to wear. Highly recommend the Newsboy cap.
Hat is well made ,but tight for 7 1/8 head other than that I'm well pleased
I have never had a more comfortable cap. When you take off the tags and put it on and it feels like it isn't even on your head, you know it's a good hat! Nice soft feel and simple style.
My favorite cap.
Comfortable hat, looks and feels great! Materials and hat construction are sturdy. I don't think I've yet bought a hat from another store that has been this well made.
Thank you for your kind review! Enjoy!
My husband has a notoriously small head. So sadly the newsboy style hat was never one that worked well for him. That is until he found a brown Conner newsboy hat at our local hat store. He loves that hat so much we had to get him another one in black. The craftsmanship is fantastic with these hats. He has had his first hat for a few years now and it still looks as good as the day he bought it. The fit is perfect (no need for hat tape). The quality is worth every penny spent! Needless to say I have a very happy hubby!
Newsboy styles are timeless. Glad your husband could find a hat to fit and that it was a Conner Hat.
