It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
Per recipient of this gift the small size was a little tight but that's OK. It will not blow off easily. As an all weather hiker he now eagerly awaits some rain so that the full rain guard functionality may be observed. I believe he really likes the style too. Apparently his girl friend does. This is clearly a quality hat a fair price.
I hardly ever write reviews, but I also hardly ever look good in hats. I bought this hat to take to Costa Rica during rainy season. I wanted something that was ethically made, and would protect me from the sun and rain, without being too hot. This hat checks all those boxes, but it also fits me perfectly and looks better than I could have imagined. I typically look ridiculous in hats, but I guess I just never hat the right one. I ordered the small because I am teeny tiny, and it is probably the best fitting hat I have ever had.
I purchased this hat for wearing when I care for my rescue pony. It is extremely well made, comfortable, and keeps me dry despite downpours! I'm going to get a Conner hat for sunny days.
Living in the muggy south Florida weather… Wearing a hat always feels counterintuitive. This hat however is perfect. It doesn’t give me that sticky sweaty feeling and protects from the sun beautifully. Kudos! Also pretty please make it In olive.
I haven't had it long but they're asking for a review :)
Construction looks good, hat fits well. Slightly large but that's better than slightly small. In-between sizes, what can you do. I've only had it out in the rain once, but it worked really well. Shed water well, and even though I didn't have a raincoat on, only the very ends of my shoulders got wet. It's not a warm weather hat, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it for cold, rainy days. It would be a bit sweltering in hot weather. It keeps my head warm and my head, face, neck and most of my shoulders dry. I work out in the field and prefer a wide brimmed hat to the hood on my raincoat, so this is perfect!
We'll see how it holds up but my initial thoughts are that I really like the hat.
