XL = <20", and I have to pay for an exchange??? Pathetic

I recently purchased the Mountain Ventilated Packer Hat. I order a size XL because an older Conner hat that I own -- size L -- was just a bit too snug for my taste. I was dumfounded to get the XL Packer and find that it was so tiny as to not fit even on the top of my head! I literally could not pull it down so far that it would stay put, it was so tight. I checked the size printed on the tag: XL. Then I measured the circumference of the hat opening: less than 20 inches!!! Where is the QUALITY CONTROL??? To add insult to injury, Conner charged me $6.13 to exchange the hat for a size XXL. Unacceptable manufacturing and backwards customer service... Unbelievable. This company is not what it used to be. I gave 1 star for the review only because I could not give less. How disappointing!

Hello to everyone. I previously reviewed this hat model with one-star due to the previously listed reasons. Since then, Conner Hats reached out to make it right and I am fully satisfied with the customer service outreach. Additionally, I was sent a hat of the same type that finally does fit, so nothing has been lost.
Thank you to Conner Hats for their time and efforts. I will happily continue to keep this company in mind for hat recommendations in the future.

Disappointing, Lack of Consistency

I've had three hats before this one from Conner Hats. All sized Large. For the bucket hat I ordered an XL for some extra room without having to stretch the hat. Got the hat after paying $15 in shipping (almost $100US for a bucket hat) and this hat was so incredibly tiny I couldn't fit it past the top of my head. I double checked the label and it definitely says XL, so I'm not sure why and when the consistency in sewing changed. For return options, the only one that doesn't cost you another round of $15 is an exchange for the same hat. My only option is an XXL--when this hat fits like a child's size, and my head definitely hasn't gotten any bigger. I'm taking an over $30 loss on this hat, and money was already tight. This was a purchase for work, and now I'm out of luck splurging on a brand I thought I could trust. Such a shame. Won't be purchasing from this company every again.
