IN LOVE AGAIN

"Whenever I think I've gotten the perfect Conner hat, I must rethink that. This Sahar Aussie Cotton Slouch Hat is a beautiful addition to my Conner collection. It provides excellent sun protection and protection from the rain. In addition, it looks great and is super stylish. The only thing I would change is the wind cord; it is stiff, and the closure slide is not tight. However, I think that will be an easy fix with a different cord and closure clip that will not detract from the hat. Nevertheless, the hat is great and will get a lot of use. I enjoy wearing it as well as the compliments I receive whether I wear it with the side up or down."

"Well made. The large brim affords great shade on sunny days and keeps the rain off my glasses on rainy days. The string is too stiff and uncomfortable though. Took it off. Would be nice to have something else around the hat in leu of the string to give it definition. Would highly recommend this hat for anyone enjoying the outdoors."

"Hat looks and feels well constructed. Took the string off right away. It was stiff and had to be constantly straightened out every time I took the hat off. I thought I would like the style a lot more. I think it needs a colorful hat band. Customer service was friendly. Wish I hadn't taken the tags off. I probably would have exchanged it for something else. Not their fault I'm fussy about my hats - they do make quality hats."

"I ordered a large initially but it was too large despite my taking a careful measurement of my head’s circumference. Request a returned for a medium in place of the large. Got it I short time it’s perfect. Quality is nice and fit is great. Conner will be my hat place"

2nd Hat for Husband

"My husband bought his first Sahara about 10-12 years ago and it is still wearing well. The only downside has been the sweat stain along the front by the band and leather cord, as mentioned in other reviews. He's planning to continue wearing that one to certain activities but use his new one for nicer locations. The color of the new one is slightly darker but not an issue. The big plus for me, family and friends is that he's easy to spot in a crowd! He was excited to get the new one and will be a customer for life. Don't ever change it!!"

A good comfy hat

"Came a bit crammed, due to customs sloppy re-packaging. Saved my head from scorching sun a few times in the steppe, the cord prevents wind from blowing the hat off just fine. In order to prevent chafing, applied a bit of castor oil with anti-mosquito fluid to the cord. Made it a bit softer. Plus no mosquitoes near my face! Visible from far away, a it's profile from afar is recognizable. Very comfy and stylish item, with great utilitarian usage. Simply love it. Thanks for quick shipment!"
