Straw hats can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic to our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
Many of our straw hats come with a wire in the brim so you can shape the hat to match your style. With a little practice you can reshape your hat brim easily. Western styles are generally worn with the brim turned up on the sides and Australian style hats look great with a dip in the front and the back.
Quality and comfort just like expected. Great hat!
Thanks for the review and glad you're liking it.
Great summer hat to shade my fair skin from the sun! I have really curly hair and can wear this with my hair down or pulled back because of the internal elastic band. Fits great with big hair!
Thank you for the positive review and glad you are loving the hat!
When I first received the hat I noticed that the brim was not flat like some of the photos and videos showed. I was a bit bummed because I like flat brimmed sun hats. But when I called in, the nice lady who answered said the hat is meant to be shaped, and I can do so without hurting it. So I put the hat under some paper weights for about 2 days to flatten the brim. After the brim sat flat on the table and didn’t sag anymore I took to shaping it with my hands.
After a couple days of wear and hand shaping, it has turned into the perfect brim!
Flat, just the way I like it!
I could not be happier now, and love the fit and wear.
We're happy it all worked out for you and we really appreciate you giving us a 5 star review. Enjoy summer with the new hat!
It fit perfectly. I love it!
I wore my new hat for a good part of the day today. It’s comfortable enough that I forgot I was wearing it, which is a good sign. It also stayed put when the wind picked up. It’s just large enough to really protect my face from the sun, but not so big that it’s annoying. Seems to be well made and am pretty sure it will be my go-to sun hat!!
