Straw hats can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic to our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
Many of our straw hats come with a wire in the brim so you can shape the hat to match your style. With a little practice you can reshape your hat brim easily. Western styles are generally worn with the brim turned up on the sides and Australian style hats look great with a dip in the front and the back.
The pics made me
Believe the brim has some stiffness to it. I’m looking for
This hat but I want the brim to hold up and not flop down.
Love the hat! Just be aware though that they do run larger than I thought. Had to return for a s/m size.
I have a hard time finding hats. This hat though, I love! Its so cute, simple and practical. Even at the small/medium size its a bit big for my head. Customer service was super helpful though and sent me some sizing tape no charge!. If i need another hat I will be definitely buying from them again :).
I really like my hat. It doesn't blow off, it's comfortable, stylish, quality etc. The shaping and everything seems spot on. If I could give any constructive feedback it would be see if the hat can be any lighter weight on crown without compromising it, and create a head band that is a little more breathable and relaxed. Or offer a hypoallergenic padded thing when people want to keep other stuff off their skin.
Hard to complain though, I like everything about it and it has become a friend. I would easily recommend five stars and now my mom wants one.
Haven’t taken it off except, shower, sleeping and inside!
Absolutely love it comfy, cool, and looks great. Would be lovely if they were still made in Aus as I live down the road from the original factory, but understand economy’s. cheers Will and Conners team.
