Love everything about the hat except sizing. Chart said 7 7/8 was a certain size but hat is smaller than chart says.
Light weight and lets air circulate to keep head and hair cool. I wear it Fishing, Golf and Shuffleboard, Walking and street craft fairs. That is where I bought my first one 3 years ago. Been thru many events with it . Finally washed it and Bingo was like brand new, well almost. Wife told me recently that it looked a little tired so ordered my second! Strange thing my first was an XL and the Second also XL but it was TOO big, Maybe my head shrunk, returned with no hassle and my new L fits just fine, Wore it yesterday for my round of golf! Shot a great score, my new lucky hat!
Excellent hat. Ultra light. Here in Southern CA, it gets too warm on exposed trails for most hats and I hate sweaty head. This hat is light and airy. And, it is one of the few sun-hiking-type hats that does not make you look like an old person. My wife put it on while carrying stuff in from the car and I was amazed how good it looked on her. We will probably buy another.
Too soon to tell. Seems ok but flimsier than my similar Henschel hat. And the fit is loose even with the fitting strips. Have to try it on the golf course when weather improves.
I have been looking for a new hat for the trail.... This is the one for me, cool confortable and stylish.
It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
