It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
Thank you Connor hats! A perfect hat for the strong Tasmanian sun, even on the farm.
Bought as a gift for my husband...he loves it and I love how eco friendly it is!
I’m deciding on another design for myself
I want to reduce my environmental footprint. I know there is plastic everywhere and I am trying to buy used clothes when I can or buy new, green products. So, when I saw a small ad in the American Airlines magazine for Conner, I snapped a picture to remember.
I wanted 3 things in a hat: environmentally-friendly materials, a sun shield, and good fit.
I wear sunscreen all the time but always seem to miss a spot, plus just having the sun beam down on your skin gets hot and uncomfortable.
Recycled plastic bottles are used to make this hat and you'd never know it. It's soft and almost velvety but holds its shape well. I was thrilled to read that the company is not all talk - I mean I got my hat in a water soluble bag!
I have a large head, so buying hats can be frustrating. However, I felt confident buying this one because of the size chart. It fits great and it breathes, keeping my head comfy and cool.
I wore it hiking in Colorado, where the sun shines bright almost all the time, and I'm looking forward to taking it out on hikes in Utah next summer.
Thank you, and bravo Conner!
