It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
I bought this hat for fishing, but I like it so much I find myself wearing it for many more outdoor activities. I have been very pleased with the quality of materials and craftsmanship. The hat is relatively breathable and cool while offering substantial shade from the sun. We have been in a bit of heatwave where I live, and I work outside; this hat has been a huge asset for me. I have a pretty big head, so I purchased the XL, which was good, because that size is an appropriately snug fit on my head. Anything smaller would have been too small for me. Very pleased with the purchase.
I’ve bought 2 hats through this company & they are my absolute favorite! They’re great quality, lightweight, & comfortable. I got lots of compliments! Will definitely be purchasing another.
I ordered the XL based on my head measurement of 23.5" (bottom of the XL range), but when I got it, there was no way it would fit my head. I gave it to my skinny 11 year old son. It fits him, for now.
Absolutely love it. Fits perfectly, well made and great sun protection. Plus the foam on the top protects my head when I whack it on the boom of my boat :-)
The built in clip is handy.
