It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
Not even close to being big enough. We 'big headed folk' are do lack a good selection of hats. Perhaps Conner could make bigger sizes and throw in a 'hat spacer' like a couple other manufacturers do? Otherwise, the hat did have a wrinkly wavy/weak brim. Really wouldn't work well for a rafting or float fishing hat, especially if there is any wind at all. Unfortunately this hat is going back. My other Conner hat has been an excellent purchase and I do like and respect the company and the things they're doing for the environment.
It's material and color are both very nice. A bit earthy. It's brim was a little wavy, but I believe that's easy to fix. This hat was for my aunt and it wasn't enough for her to care about. I don't consider it to be an issue with respect to the price.
The hat is very comfortable. I wore it on a trip to Montana. The wind was blowing quite strong one day and my hat stayed on. The hat doesn't feel different from many other hats I've had in the past but that's the point. I respect the companies mission to use recycled materials. I will buy a few of these hats as gifts.
Bought this hat for everyday outside wear. It's great!! It's stylish, well made and breathable.
